  • We request that all participants of the retreat observe silence and refrain from any form of speech during the retreat period. This practice is essential to help meditators focus entirely on their inner self. Teaching sessions in the hall and personal interviews with the teacher provide opportunities for interaction and discussion. For any other concerns, participants are encouraged to speak directly with the retreat manager, Shiroma.

  • Vipassana retreats offer profound experiences, but it's vital to remain grounded in the present and fully immerse yourself in each activity. During walking meditation, focus your attention entirely on the practice; this dedication can lead to significant progress.

Similarly, while eating, be mindful of each movement, from chewing to swallowing. This practice, known as 'being present in the moment,' is crucial, and we strongly encourage all meditators to embrace each moment with complete authenticity.

  • Trusting the process and oneself is a cornerstone of effective practice during a Vipassana retreat. This period is a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, where trusting the process means surrendering to the experience of the present.

It involves acknowledging that each step, even the challenging ones, is a part of the path to deeper understanding and enlightenment. Equally important is trusting oneself — believing in one's capability to engage deeply with the practice and to handle whatever experiences arise.

This dual trust — in both the process and oneself — is essential for cultivating a profound and transformative meditation experience.
